Sort Reminders by Due Date, Creation Date, Priority, or Title

In this video, we’re going to look at how we can sort our reminders in the Reminders app on the iPad. This new feature was added with iPadOS 14.5. So you do need to make sure that you use an iPadOS 14.5 in order to use this feature. Let’s see how we can sort our reminders. Let’s go to my iPad.

Let’s open up my Reminders here. So I’m looking at my groceries list. What I would like to do is sort these. To sort them, all we have to do is just go up to the more button in the upper right hand corner, the ellipsis. When I tap on it, you’re going to see we have Sort By, and now all I need to do is tap on this, and set how I want to sort them.

So let’s say I wanted to sort them by title. I just tap on Title here and now they are sorted by title. I want to sort them by creation date, by when I added them, I go back up to my more button, my ellipsis, I tap on Sort By, and then I tap on Creation Date.

In addition to that, we can also set the sort order. Let’s go back up to my ellipsis here, and when I tap on Sort By, I can also set how I want them sorted. Right now it is by Oldest First, but let’s put the newest at top. I tap on Newest First, and now it’s sorted by newest first.

So that’s how we sort our reminders in the Reminders app on the iPad. Again, this was introduced with iPadOS 14.5. So you do need to make sure that you use an iPadOS 14.5 in order to see this feature. To sort your lists, you just go up to the more button in the upper right hand corner, select Sort By and select how you want to have them sorted. You can also set the sort order.
