Discover how to create a composite photo on your Mac by lifting a subject out of a photo and adding it to another photo using Pages and Preview.

In this video, I’ll show you how to lift a subject out of a photo on your Mac and add it to another photo using the Pages app. I’ll also demonstrate how to copy and paste the composite photo into the Preview app to create a brand new photo.

To get started, make sure your Mac is updated to at least macOS Ventura 13.2. Then, follow my step-by-step instructions to create a new photo from lifted subjects.

I’ll guide you through every step of the process, from copying the background image for Pages to adding the subjects from Photos and arranging them in the Pages document. You’ll learn how to adjust the position, crop, and layer the subjects to create a beautiful composite photo.

Finally, I’ll demonstrate how to create a new photo in Preview by copying the composite photo from Pages and adding it to the Photos app.
