And this tip, I’m going to show you how you can add the date. In addition to the time in your menu bar on the Mac, let’s go to my Mac. Now, if we look up at my menu, are you going to see I have the day name and the time there? What I would like to do is I would also like to add the date. We do this through our system preferences.
So I’m going to go over to my Apple menu. And then we go over to system preferences from here. What we need to do is we need to go to our date and time. Now I’m using macOS Catalina. So it’s located at the bottom here. If you’re using an older version of macOS, you may see in a different area; you can always search for it up here as well.
So let’s go ahead and click on date and time. And now what we need to do is we need to go to our clock tab from here. All we have to do is click on show date. And when I do that, you’re going to see we have the date up there. So that’s all we have to do to show the date in the menu bar. We go to our system preferences.
Open up the date and time preference pane, go over to the clock tab and check show date. Once we do that, we’re going to be able to see the date in addition to the time in our menu bar on the Mac. And again, this does work across different versions of Mac OS. So that’s how we can add the date in addition to the time in our menu bar on the Mac.
