In this tip, I’m going to show you how you can easily open up a preference pane from the System Preferences in the Dock. Let’s go to my Mac. Now. Let’s say I wanted to change my trackpad preferences—all I have to do. If your System Preferences are located in the Dock and default, it’s located in the Dock.
All you have to do is click and hold on this. And you’re going to see all of the different preference pains. Now, all I do is select the preference pain I want. So I want to go to my trackpad. I select it, and it opens up, and now it can go and change my settings for my trackpad. So that’s how you can easily select a preference pane from the System Preferences in the Dock.
