In this video, I’m going to show you how you can increase the cursor size on your Mac. Let’s go to my Mac. Now I’m going to zoom into my cursor here. What I would like to do is I would like to increase the size of this. We can do this through our accessibility settings, within our system preferences. So now, what I do is I go up to my Apple menu, and then I go over to system preferences.
From here. What we would do is we would go to accessibility. Now I am using macOS Catalina. So it’s located in my first group here. If you’re using a different Mac, it may be located in a different area of the system preferences, either way. What you’ll need to do is you’ll need to go to accessibility from here.
What we need to do is we need to go to display. When I click on display, we go over to the tab for cursor. Under cursor, you’re going to see cursor size. All I have to do is drag the slider over to the right, and you’re going to see that my cursor size has increased. Now, I’m going to show you an easier way to get to the settings instead of going to the accessibility settings and then going to display and cursor what we can also do.
I’m going to go back over to my general preferences here. What we can also do is go over to search here. And then I type in cursor, and you’re going to see cursor size. When I click on this, it brings me over to my display. It selects the cursor, and now I can change the size of my cursor. Again, all we have to do is drag the slider over to the left or right to increase or decrease my cursor’s size.
Now I also want to add; you can do this temporarily by wiggling your cursor. Now I’m not able to demonstrate this because the recording software I use one capture my cursor increasing in size, but if you lose track of your cursor, all you have to do is move your mouse around really quickly for a few seconds.
Or, if you have a trackpad, take your finger and move it around on the trackpad for a few seconds quickly. And then you’ll see that your cursor will increase in size. So then you can easily find it; once you stop moving the mouse around or moving your finger around on the trackpad, your cursor will go back to its normal size.
Unfortunately, I cannot demonstrate this, but again, move your cursor around really quickly with the mouse or the trackpad. And you’ll see what I mean. So that’s how we can increase the size of our cursor on the Mac. We do this through the accessibility settings within our system preferences.
I find it easiest to open up system preferences and then search for cursor select cursor size. And then, from there, you drag the slider to the left or right to change the cursor’s size. You can also wiggle the cursor around really quickly with the mouse or trackpad to temporarily increase the cursor’s size.
So that’s how you can change the size of the cursor on your Mac.
