Take a Screenshot of your Display

In this video, I will show you how you can quickly take a screenshot on the Mac. Let’s go into my Mac. Now you may know that to take a screenshot. What you do is you use command shift five. When I hold down the command key, the shift key, and the five key. You’re going to see; we have several options here for taking a screenshot.

I can take a screenshot of a window. I can take a screenshot of my entire display. I can take a video recording. Well, what I want to do is I want to take a simple screenshot of my display while there’s an easier way of doing it—even the news in command shift five, which is pretty easy. If you want to take a quick screenshot, all you have to do is use command shift three.

When you do that, what it’s going to do is it’s going to take a screenshot of your entire display. So let’s put a window here. I’m going to go and open up the finder window. And now I want to do is I want to take a screenshot of this. All I have to do is hold down the command key, the shift key, and the three key.

It immediately takes a screenshot. And then after a few seconds, what it’s going to do is it’s going to move this to the desktop. You’re going to see I have my screenshot here. So if you want to take a quick screenshot of your entire display on the Mac, all you do is go command shift and three all at the same time.

You’re going to see the screenshot in the lower left-hand corner. You wait a few seconds. It’ll show up on your desktop here.
