Show the Battery Percentage on an iPhone with iOS 16

In this video for What’s New in iOS 16, or what’s new on the iPhone with iOS 16, we’re going to look at how we can show our battery percentage on an iPhone with face ID. And past versions of iOS, we couldn’t show the battery percentage unless we went to our control center. While now with iOS 16, we can always show it, let’s see what I mean. Let’s go over to my iPhone.

Now if you look at my iPhone here, you’re gonna see in the top right corner here, my battery and it has 100, it’s right above my cursor here has 100 in it. This is telling me that this phone is charged to 100% that is the battery percentage. And past versions of iOS, the way that we did this was we had to swipe down from this top corner to get to our control center. And then you can see the battery percentage there. But again, now with iOS 16, we can view it right at the top there. It’s a little bit smaller, but we can see that.

So how do we enable this? Well basically all we have to do is just go over to our settings app. And then from here, what we do is we go over to battery so I’m going to swipe up until I find battery here. Under battery, you’re going to see that we have a new setting here, battery percentage, and all we need to do is just turn this on when we turn that on. What we’re going to see is our battery percentage in the upper right hand corner we no longer have to swipe down to view our battery percentage. So that’s how we can show the battery percentage on the home screen of an iPhone with face ID that is running iOS 16
