Apple locates the Dock at the bottom of the Mac’s screen by default. That location may interfere with you seeing as much of your document windows as you’d like. You may know you can set the Dock to appear only when you move the pointer to the bottom edge of the screen. that helps, but what if you want to see the Dock all the time? You do not want to hide it? Well, there is plenty of room on the side of the screen to put the Dock, and if when it is there, it won’t get in the way of most document windows. To move your Dock, Open System Preferences > Dock, and select Right or Left from the Position on Screen radio buttons. Hope that helps!
