Creating Shortcuts on the Mac, iPad, and iPhone Class

May 19 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT

With Shortcuts, you can create a quick way to get one or more tasks done with your apps. The Shortcuts app lets you create your own shortcuts with multiple steps. For example, you can pause your media on your iPhone when it connects to carPlay or the Bluetooth on your car. This is done through Actions – a single step in a task or shortcut. You mix and match these actions to create a shortcut. This tutorial is designed to give you the basics of creating shortcuts. I hope you find it helpful!

In this class, I’ll be going over the basics of creating Shortcuts on the Mac, iPad, and iPhone. Some of what I cover include:

  • What is a Shortcut?
  • Finding Shortcuts
  • Organizing Shortcuts
  • Changing the Name & Icon
  • Saving to a Mac
  • Saving to an iPad & iPhone
  • Running a Shortcut with Siri
  • Editing & Creating Shortcuts
  • Sharing Shortcuts
  • Automate Shortcuts
